Algard

Here is a map of 1000 square kilometres of a world I am making! This region is called 'Algard', and is situated in the northern hemisphere of my world (yet to be named).
The ship is called the 'Flamvind', and hopefully will prove quite important to the story I hope to tell of this world.
I want to draw your attention to some key geographical features in this region. One is the 'Gemini Mountains', named because there are two of them alone from the rest. The drawing does not represent their true size, although they are larger than any mountain in the Belkin Mountains.
To the north, there is a volcano, Mount Syddvang. Again, I hope the importance of this volcano is revealed later! The Rusur Mountains are an extensive mountain chain that stretches all the way south east for several thousand miles, thanks to a massive fault line that is both pushing and sliding against the region of Algard. The range ends at 'Hound's Tail'.
The largest river shown on this map is the River Arkhos. This has several smaller towns not shown all along its banks thanks to its plentiful supply of fish.
Undslav's Hook is a vast rocky outcrop which suddenly thrusts out of the forest, being several thousand feet higher than its surroundings. It is flat topped and devoid of life. It has sheer cliffs which drop straight into the Sea of Typhus.
Typhoon is the capital city of the people of Typhon, a large offshore island and independent country. Trading ships travel from a major port at Moroth-Gal to Typhoon.
Typhoon is named so by its historically violent storms that happen whenever the planet undergoes a certain cycle in its orbit every decade or so. The people of Typhon worship a god whom they believe controls the storms and sacrifice an amount of their harvests to the ocean to appease the god and prevent a storm.
The Plains of Fidel (Fidel plains) are an exceptionally windy area of Algard, habituated mostly with grasses and scrub. Near its centre however, are three ancient trees. People from the surrounding towns travel hundreds of miles to pray at these trees, their trunks carved with magical runes. This area is also devoid of wind, and has powerful magical and spiritual forces present which some people can tap into.
Lake Dyma is one of a cluster of large lakes, of which it is the second largest by area!

One square on the grid is equivalent to 50 km square!

I will be making more maps of different provinces and regions throughout the year, and submit more information about the planet!

All names were thought up by ME, if any of the names already exist as words then it was a deliberate decision!
